The African, African American, and Diaspora Studies Center offers interdisciplinary programming, studies, and initiatives for Africana studies at James Madison University. As a AAAD minor myself, I have greatly appreciated the opportunity to work with the center as one of their social media interns. My work has centered around graphic design, while my partners have focused on copywriting.
Before I joined the AAAD team there was not a consistent brand guide, aside from the logo. I created this guide for future interns and to maintain consistency among posts. While the colors used have varied from post-to-post, I have strived to use the same fonts and the logo to create a brand feel.
