The African, African American, and Diaspora (AAAD) Studies Center offers interdisciplinary programming, studies, and initiatives for Africana studies at James Madison University. As a AAAD minor myself, I greatly appreciated the opportunity to work with the center as one of their social media interns. My work centered around graphic design, while my partners have focused on copywriting.

In my time working with the AAAD Studies Center we more than doubled the average number of likes we received on Instagram. Additionally, I was part of a hugely successful fundraising campaign that brought in over $9,000.
