The goal of this project was to develop a full semester course syllabus on a topic that would not be covered in our Introduction to African, African American, and Diaspora Studies (AAAD) course. I chose to research AfroPunk, and alternative culture movement taking the world by storm. To present this topic, I designed a syllabus website.

Doing academic research into a little-studied topic such as AfroPunk was an invaluable way to develop my analysis skills. I learned how to ask the right questions and look critically at different sources.
